Job Description
Our client, a leader in the defence and security sector, is seeking a Senior Engineer - Electrical to join their team on a contract basis within the Naval Ships business unit. This position will be based at Scotstoun with hybrid work arrangements available, requiring attendance 1-2 days per week on-site. The contract duration is 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing and overseeing LV Distribution, QPS and Electrical Safety
Designing and maintaining LV Protection Systems and Earthing Systems
Executing LV Cabling and Cable routing tasks
Handling Converted Supplies
Supervising Portable Apparatus and Domestic Supplies
Providing Aviation Support
Implementing general and specialised lighting solutions
Ensuring the integrity of Hull Preservation Systems
Managing Degaussing tasks
Job Requirements:
Experience in electrical engineering within the defence sector
Proficiency in LV Distribution, QPS and Electrical Safety
Knowledge of LV Protection Systems and Earthing Systems
Familiarity with LV Cabling and Cable routing
Understanding of Converted Supplies and Portable Apparatus
Experience with Aviation Support systems
Expertise in lighting solutions, both general and specialised
Skills in managing Hull Preservation Systems
Understanding of Degaussing
