Job Description

Abatec has an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Senior Engineer to join a leading Teir 1 civil engineering contractor delivering long-term water infrastructure projects across South Wales.

With a significant pipeline of work secured through the current investment period, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineer to join an established team and work on a range of complex civil engineering and water schemes.

The successful candidate will join a project delivery team responsible for the engineering management of schemes across the South Wales region with a particular focus of schemes along the M4 Corridor

As Senior Engineer you will:

  * Provide technical and engineering leadership across your section of works

  * Manage and coordinate engineering activities on site

  * Ensure works are constructed in accordance with drawings, specifications and approved methodologies

  * Review designs and identify potential technical issues before construction

  * Promote a strong culture of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance

  * Liaise with designers, subcontractors and site management teams

Our client requires a Senior Engineer with:

  * Degree/HNC/ONC in Civil Engineering or a related field

  * Previous experience within heavy civil engineering projects

  * Previous experience working on water/wastewater or utilities projects (preferred)

  * Excellent knowledge of construction processes, standards, and regulations

  * Strong leadership and communication skills

Salary/Benefits:

  * £50,000 - £60,000 Depending on experience

  * Car allowance
