We are recruiting for a Senior Engineer with strong earthworks and quality assurance experience to support a major infrastructure project in Suffolk. The role will be freelance and is expected to run for 5–6 months, with a reputable civils contractor.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all engineering elements of earthworks delivery
*
Oversee and support setting out for cut/fill, drainage, and bulk earthworks operations
*
Implement and manage QA procedures across the site
*
Coordinate with subcontractors and site teams to ensure compliance with design specifications
*
Produce and manage as-built records, ITPs, and daily reporting
*
Ensure works are delivered to programme and safety standards
Requirements:
*
Strong experience managing earthworks operations on infrastructure or civils projects
*
Proficient in QA processes and record keeping
*
CSCS card (essential); SSSTS/SMSTS beneficial
*
Experience with Leica/Trimble and AutoCAD
*
Able to work autonomously and liaise confidently with site teams and management
*
Full UK driving licence
