Senior Engineering Geologist

Location: Glasgow
 Salary: £38,000 - £48,000 + Benefits

Are you a Senior Engineering Geologist looking to take the next step in your career with a leading ground investigation contractor in Glasgow?

We are working with a well-established and growing ground engineering contractor that is looking to strengthen its Glasgow team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company with a strong reputation across geotechnical and geoenvironmental services, working on a diverse range of projects.

The Role

You will play a key role in delivering ground investigation and geotechnical projects across a range of sectors, including infrastructure, residential, and commercial developments.

This position offers a balance of technical delivery, site supervision, and project management, with the opportunity to mentor junior staff and take on increasing responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Managing and supervising ground investigations
Producing and reviewing factual and interpretative reports
Logging soil and rock in accordance with UK standards
Overseeing site works, ensuring quality and health & safety compliance
Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams
Mentoring junior engineers and geologists
Supporting project delivery from tender through to completion 

Requirements

Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline
Typically 5+ years' consultancy experience
Strong report writing and interpretative skills
Full UK driving licence
Must live within a commutable distance from the Glasgow office
