Job Description

Senior Engineering Geologist 📍 Glasgow 💰 Up to £45,000 + Benefits + Career Progression Due to continued project growth, a respected engineering and environmental consultancy is seeking a Senior Engineering Geologist to join its Glasgow office. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work across a broad portfolio of geotechnical and geo-environmental projects throughout Scotland and the UK. The successful candidate will take a leading role in site investigations, technical reporting, and project coordination while working within an experienced and supportive ground engineering team. Main Duties * Managing ground investigation programmes from planning through to completion * Supervising drilling, trial pitting, sampling, and site activities * Producing and reviewing factual and interpretative reports * Assessing geotechnical risks and ground conditions * Supporting contaminated land and environmental assessments * Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal design teams * Providing guidance and support to junior staff members Requirements * Degree qualified in Engineering Geology, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or similar * Solid consultancy experience within ground investigation or geotechnical engineering * Strong report-writing and technical interpretation skills * Experience overseeing fieldwork and site operations * Good understanding of UK standards and health & safety practices * Full UK driving licence What’s Available * Salary up to £45,000 * Competitive company benefits * Ongoing professional training and support towards chartership * Varied workload across major infrastructure and development projects * Positive and collaborative team culture * Genuine opportunities for long-term progression This role would suit a proactive Engineering Geologist looking to progress within a well-established consultancy delivering technically interesting and varied projects.
