Are you ready to take on a pivotal role where you'll lead environmental projects, advise clients across the UK, and contribute to wider strategic growth?
Irwin and Colton have been engaged to recruit a Senior Environmental Consultant for a global leader in the recycling and resource management sector. The organisation operates over 150 sites across the UK and internationally, generating annual revenues in excess of £4 billion.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Environmental Consultant will include:
Providing expert advice to clients on environmental compliance, ensuring alignment with legislation, best practice, and internal management systems
Leading the development, preparation and submission of environmental and producer compliance permit applications, including WEEE and related documentation
Supporting business development by identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and broadening the scope of consultancy services across the UK
Acting as a key point of contact with regulatory bodies, including the Environment Agency, building positive relationships and ensuring effective communication and resolution on technical mattersThe successful Senior Environmental Consultant will have:
Demonstrable experience in a comparable role, preferably within the industrial or manufacturing sectors
A degree in an environmental discipline or a relevant professional qualification such as IEMA
Practical knowledge of environmental management systems, including ISO 14001 and environmental permitting
