We're looking for an experienced Senior Environmental Health Officer to join our Private Sector Housing team. You'll play a key role in supporting the Head of Housing, managing complex complaints, overseeing housing grants, and guiding a small team of technicians and admin staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate and resolve private sector housing complaints
Apply HHSRS assessments and ensure housing conditions meet legal standards
Oversee the delivery of housing grants and improvement schemes
Provide leadership and technical support to a small team
Liaise with landlords, tenants, and partner agencies
What You'll Need:
HHSRS Certification (2-day training in an environmental health context)
In-depth knowledge of private sector housing legislation and housing grants
Proven experience in environmental health and team leadership
A full UK driving licence
Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
