Senior Estates Surveyor

Hourly Rate: £45ph PAYE 
Location: Welwyn
Job Type: Temporary We are exclusively recruiting on behalf of the council for a Senior Estates Surveyor. This temporary position is an excellent opportunity for a professional with expertise in commercial landlord and tenant matters. The role is office-based with regular site visits, requiring at least two days per week in the office, with more frequent attendance needed at the start of the placement.

Day-to-day of the role:

Conducting detailed property valuations for freehold reversion and lease extensions under the Leasehold Reform and Urban Development Act 1993 and Leasehold Reform Act 1967.
Managing commercial landlord and tenant relationships, including handling covenant releases and consents.
Utilising local knowledge to enhance property management and valuation accuracy, ideally bringing experience from the Welwyn Hatfield area.
Collaborating with the Estates Team to ensure all property transactions and management tasks align with council regulations and standards.
Regularly travelling to various sites to assess properties and meet with tenants, ensuring all interactions and valuations are conducted professionally.Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Commercial Landlord and Tenant specialist.
Strong background in handling covenant releases and consents.
Experienced in valuing properties under the Leasehold Reform and Urban Development Act 1993 and Leasehold Reform Act 1967.
Good local knowledge, ideally with experience working in the Welwyn Hatfield area and understanding of the local property market.
Must be a driver with access to a car insured for business use.Benefits:
