Job Description
We’re working with a leading Passive Fire Protection contractor who specialise in Fire Door and Fire Stopping projects across London and the South East. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they’re now looking to appoint an Estimator to join their commercial team in Central London.
Role Overview:
The successful Estimator will play a key role in supporting tendering and cost estimation activities for a variety of passive fire projects. Working closely with the commercial and operations teams, you’ll help ensure competitive, accurate, and profitable bids are submitted across new and existing clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for fire stopping and fire door projects
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
* Prepare tender submissions and support the pre-construction process
* Work closely with the commercial and operations teams to ensure accurate cost planning
* Maintain cost databases and assist with value engineering exercises
* Support business development through pricing strategies and bid support
Requirements:
* Proven experience working as an Estimator within the Passive Fire Protection or related construction industry
* Knowledge of fire stopping and fire door installation works
* Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills
* Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel
* Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to deadlines
* Team player with a proactive, professional attitude
