Job Description
A great opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join a national contractor on a 5-year framework based in Devon. My client, with a turnover in excess of £500M, is a principal contractor on the South West Water framework.
As Senior Estimator you will be responsible for the preparation and submission of tenders, under various forms of procurement. Working as part of the pre-construction team you will utilise your commercial knowledge in conjunction to ensure competitive bids, oversee Risk and Value management during the tender period, as well as prepare budgets and cost plans.
As Senior Estimator, you will:
* Be responsible for the preparation of material and sub-contract enquiries including the selection of prospective subcontractors.
* Review and compare sub-contractor quotations.
* Appraise tender documents, complete and return tender submissions.
* Prepare analytical cost estimates including preliminaries and tender BoQs.
* Visit site and attend project meetings.
* Contribute to the design development process and attend design team meetings.
* Prepare budgets and cost plans.
Our client requires a Senior Estimator with:
* All forms of contract including traditional, partnering, design & build 2 stage tenders and frameworks.
* Experience of using Conquest estimating software.
* In depth Technical Construction Knowledge.
* Knowledge of Building Regulations and other industry standards.
* An awareness of BIM.
Salary/Benefits:
* £75,000 - £90,000 per annum
