Job Description

We are working with a leading environmental contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering protects across ecological, environmental, and civil engineering sectors. Due to health pipeline of future works and continuous new business opportunities, our client requires a Senior Estimator.

You'll work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Technical Specialists to prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive tenders for projects ranging from habitat creation, water infrastructure, river restoration to natural flood management and biodiversity enhancement. This is an excellent opportunity to leading contractor, playing a key role in environment management, that offers future career development, an excellent salary & hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities

  * Prepare accurate cost estimates for environmental and civil engineering projects.

  * Review drawings, specifications and project requirements to develop competitive tenders.

  * Compile bid documents and written proposals.

  * Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.

  * Attend site visits to support project understanding and pricing.

  * Collaborate with technical teams to develop high-quality submissions.

  * Support bid administration and ensure tender deadlines are met.

Essential

  * Full UK driving licence.

  * Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.

  * Strong numerical and analytical skills.

  * Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  * High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

  * Positive, proactive and adaptable approach.

Desirable

  * Experience within the civil engineering or construction sector.

  * Familiarity with estimating or project management software, such as BidWork or Microsoft Project.
