About the Company
An award winning fit out and refurbishment contractor who are part of a multi faceted construction and property company.
They have a strong pipeline of projects secured, with 80% of their order book for next year already sealed, and are exploring multiple tender opportunities to continue their growth.
About The Role
The Senior Estimator / Bid Manager will be an integral part of the pre construction team and pivotal in the companies continued success.
Role & Responsibilities
* Identify and assess new tender opportunities through portals, frameworks and direct invitations.
* Evaluate tender suitability, risks, and commercial viabilityin line with the companies strategic goals.
* Develop and implement a comprehensive bid strategy tailored to each opportunity clearly articulating the clients requirements and aligning them with company strengths.
* Use first principles of pricing, labour, plant and material to ensure competitiveness in tenders, measuring and quantifying materialswill be required on all bids.
* Prepare programme timelines and ensure all deadlines are met across the tender lifecycle.
* Lead and manage the bid from start to finish, including PQQ's, ITT's, Request for Information schedules and preparing Information Release Schedules.
What You Need to Succeed
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a Senior Estimator or Bid Manager role for a contractor, and will exhibit the following qualities;
* Strong understanding of the construction industry and bidding / tendering processes.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Proven leadership and team management abilities.
* Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in bid management software and tools.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Knowledge of relevant UK building regulations and compliance requirements.
