About the Opportunity
A well-established Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their commercial team, based in Livingston. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a company delivering high-impact projects across education, healthcare, civic, and infrastructure sectors.
You'll play a key role in winning work and shaping the future pipeline of major public and private construction projects across Scotland.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and submission of competitive tenders
Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to build accurate cost plans
Liaise with supply chain and internal teams to secure best value
Conduct risk and value analysis for tender submissions
Ensure timely and compliant delivery of bids
Mentor junior estimators and support ongoing process improvements
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within a main contractor environment
Solid understanding of various procurement methods (design & build, traditional, two-stage, etc.)
Ability to read technical drawings and develop detailed cost estimates
Strong negotiation and commercial awareness
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Motivated, detail-oriented and capable of working under pressure
