Your new role
Our client is seeking a talented Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team in Warrington. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, managing tender submissions, and supporting the business in securing large-scale projects valued at £10 million and above across multiple sectors.
Responsibilities will include:
Producing detailed and accurate cost estimates for major projects.
Leading the preparation of tenders, working closely with pre-construction and delivery teams.
Analysing contract documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate pricing.
Building strong relationships with supply chain partners to obtain competitive quotations.
Identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
Evaluating risks and opportunities in tenders and advising senior management accordingly.
Presenting tender strategies and reports to leadership teams.
Maintaining strong client and consultant relationships to support business growth.What you will need to succeed:
Experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within a Tier 1 main contractor.
Strong track record of estimating on large-scale projects within education, healthcare, industrial, or custodial sectors.
Proven ability to manage bids for projects valued at £10m+.
Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of construction methodologies.
Strong IT skills, with proficiency in estimating software and MS Office.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (Quantity Surveying, Construction Management) or equivalent professional experience.What you get in return:
