Job Description
We are working with a leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor who are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join their team in the Central Belt of Scotland. This is a key role offering the chance to influence major bids and contribute to the success of complex, high-value projects.
As Senior Estimator, you'll be responsible for:
* Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions across a range of civil engineering projects.
* Analysing drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
* Engaging with supply chain partners to obtain competitive quotations.
* Assessing risk, value engineering opportunities, and commercial strategies.
* Supporting bid teams and presenting proposals to senior management.
The successful applicant for this role will be able to demonstrate:
* Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in civil engineering or infrastructure.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and tendering procedures.
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail.
* Commercially astute, with the ability to identify risks and opportunities.
* Confident communicator with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels.
