Job Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects from initial concept through to completion.
Analyse project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to ensure clarity and completeness.
Collaborate with the project management team to develop tender strategies and ensure competitive pricing.
Conduct market research to determine labour, materials, and equipment costs.
Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Prepare and submit tender documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
Assist in the negotiation of contract terms and conditions.
Maintain a detailed and up-to-date database of cost information for future reference.
Ensure all estimates are completed within deadlines and to the highest standards of accuracy.
Support project teams during post-tender negotiations and project execution as required.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a Senior Estimator ideally with experience within social housing.
Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies.
Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organisational skills.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office Suite.
Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
