We are recruiting an experienced Senior Family Worker to support family reunification and Special Guardianship Order (SGO) conversions. The role focuses on helping children achieve safety, stability, and permanence within their family networks.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with families to deliver safe and sustainable reunification plans.
Support carers through the SGO conversion process.
Complete assessments and contribute to care planning alongside social workers and partner agencies.
Provide targeted interventions to strengthen relationships and reduce risks.
Monitor progress and offer ongoing support to ensure successful transitions.Key Requirements:
Experience in family support, reunification, or permanence planning.
Strong knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and statutory frameworks.
Excellent communication skills with children, families, and professionals.
Ability to manage complex cases within a multi-agency environment.
Commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.
Full driving licence.Contract Length: 3-6 months with a view to extend to an ongoing contract.
Pay Rate: £16-£21 Negotiable DOE.
Working pattern - 37 hours per week
