The Business & Opportunity:
Fantastic opportunity to join a well-established Retail Business with their headquarters in Skipton. With a strong Retail and Online presence in both in the UK and overseas, they have exciting growth plans ahead.
On the back of a restructure, they have created an opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager, initially for a 6–9-month contract.
You will be based at their head office near Skipton and following the completion of your probationary period, you will have option and flexibility to work from home 2 days per week.
Specific Requirement:
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will take responsibility for the following:
* Manage a small finance team comprising of 3-4 staff.
* Present accurate, timely and meaningful information to Senior Management, along with commentary and detailed analysis.
* Work closely with the Group Financial Controller and Finance Director in the preparation of the annual budgets and specifically the costs incurred in each location.
* Prepare and manage the month end process and accounts production across the group.
* Lead Management Accounting related work.
* Review detailed Costs Analysis on specific costs lines in accordance with production of external required schedules.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ACMA) / Qualified by Experience (QBE) / Part-Qualified / AAT Qualified.
* Experience producing timely Management Information to present to Senior Management.
* Confident user of Excel.
* Prepared to challenge and drive the business performance to achieve budgets, understand the variances and force through corrective action to ensure targets are achieved.
* Possess genuine commercial awareness that will allow a good understanding of how the different facets of the business work together.
* Have a positive outlook and the required interpersonal skills to deal with all areas of the business and external parties.
* Experience of multi-currency and multi-entity transactions would be beneficial.
* Whilst specific Retail experience isn’t a pre-requisite, a closely related Stock based background would be useful, e.g. Manufacturing, E-Commerce, FMCG, Distribution.
