Senior Finance Officer – Swinton – Hybrid - Up to £33,000 + Benefits
Portus Supported Housing is entering an exciting new chapter following the successful merger of Bespoke Supportive Tenancies (BeST) and Westmoreland Supported Housing. Working for Portus Property Management (Portus’s inhouse maintenance company), we are looking to recruit to the role of Senior Finance Officer.
Key Responsibilities
  * Process invoices and credit notes accurately and in line with financial procedures.
  * Ensure expenditure is correctly coded and approved, resolving queries with suppliers and internal teams.
  * Maintain and reconcile Purchase and Sales Ledgers, investigating outstanding balances.
  * Complete supplier statement reconciliations and prepare regular payment runs.
  * Post bank transactions accurately onto the Financial Management System (FMS).
  * Maintain and verify supplier details and process authorised expenses.
  * Review DLO timesheets and consolidate subcontractor information for recharge invoicing.
  * Monitor the Finance mailbox and respond to supplier and internal queries.
  * Support budgeting, year-end audit and statutory accounts reporting.
  * Maintain accurate financial records, process notes and compliance with Finance KPIs.
  * Support the wider Finance team with reporting and ad hoc duties as required.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, self-motivated and confident working on their own initiative, with excellent attention to detail and a genuine desire to make a difference. More important than qualifications is your mindset – we want someone who will take ownership, spot opportunities for improvement and bring ideas that will enhance and develop the role over time.

  * 25 days annual leave (+Bank holidays) increasing by 1 days per completed year of service to 30 days
