The Position Looking for an honest, well organised, enthusiastic, pro-active individual who has experience of interpreting drawings and 1st & 2nd fixing Fire Alarms on construction sites.
The successful candidate will demonstrate good time keeping, be an excellent communicator working well with the project management team in a rapidly growing fire detection and suppression company. In return, the successful candidate will gain expert knowledge and training with fantastic opportunities to grow and develop within the role and beyond.
The position will be site based mainly working on projects within London and the South East. Key Accountabilities:
- Installation or secondary containment
- Installation of 1st fix and 2nd fix cabling - Final fixing of equipment including addressing of equipment
- Fault finding installation issues.
- Coordinate the delivery and off-hire of plant and materials to project locations.
- Accurate record-keeping, ensuring as built drawings are always kept up-to-date.
- Assist in the onsite communication of changes to RAMS and quality documents.
- Assist the project management team in the completion of QA checks, As-Builts and work snagging.
- Build healthy working relationships with all clients and colleagues.
- Aid in all aspects of project delivery over the project lifetime: from installation through to commissioning and servicing. Required
- Previous experience of first & second fixing fire alarms on construction sites.
- Able to work on construction sites, ideally based in the South East or London area.
- Able to work under their own initiative and as part of a team.
- Friendly and Approachable.
- Organised, proactive manner.
- Good communicator: both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail and able to check their own work.
- Full, clean driver’s license and own car essential.
- Technically minded - GCSE Grade C or higher in Maths, Science, and English. Preferable
- Manufacturers training
- Industry recognised training on Fire Alarm installation & maintenance
- Good knowledge or understanding of fire suppression and detection.
- CSCS Card, PASMA Card, IPAF Card
