Fire Door Carpenter / Installer – FRA Works
Northamptonshire & Surrounding (Corby · Kettering · Wellingborough) | £52,000 – £54,000 pa | Company van, OT, 25 days’ holiday per annum plus bank holidays. Private Healthcare.
A growing property‑maintenance specialist needs an experienced Fire Door Carpenter / Installer to fit and maintain fire‑door sets across commercial sites in Northamptonshire and nearby counties. This company is happy to fund official fire related qualifications for the right carpenter.
What you’ll do:
*
Install, upgrade and repair fire doors.
*
Carry out on‑site fire‑stopping (intumescent seals, frame upgrades, hardware)
*
Survey existing doors, log non‑conformities and recommend remedials to the FRA team.
*
Technically guide junior carpenters as and when they join the team.
*
Complete digital job sheets, photos and sign‑offs for compliance records
What you’ll bring
*
3+ years experience as a Fire Door Carpenter / Installer (preferably) with up‑to‑date compliance knowledge.
*
Third‑party certification (BM TRADA, FIRAS) or happy to work towards.
*
Ability to read drawings, measure clearances and produce accurate reports
*
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Northants & adjacent counties
