Job Description
My client, a sustainably-minded, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join their growing team of expert design engineers, in the scenic, northern Cathedral City of York, North Yorkshire.
Essential Criteria:
A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other relevant discipline
Extensive experience of working with flood risk and drainage strategies
Demonstrable experience of producing Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
Excellent working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (e.g., S104, S106, etc.)
Knowledge of the relevant software packages, including InfoWorks ICM, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, InfoDrainage, and others
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience of working closely with a diverse team, providing leadership and mentorship
Demonstrable experience of developing and managing stakeholder relationsIt would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to have the following:
Experience of having managed teams or projects
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other relevant 3D design software
Good time management skills
Excellent communication skillsIn your exciting new role of Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer, you will be joining a team of highly experienced design engineers, working on a number of varied, high-profile projects across the region. Progressing through your career, you will take on a range of different responsibilities, including the following:
Leading a team in producing a broad range of projects, developing flood risk and drainage strategies
Ensuring projects are delivered to the highest of standards, within the given timeframes and designated budgets
Undertaking the relevant technical analysis using software packages
Reviewing and approving accurate technical information regarding projects, including calculations, drawings, and models
Liaising with a range of public and private stakeholders, and managing relationships with them
Undertaking site meetings and inspections
Developing and maintaining client relations
