Job Description
My client, a diverse, sustainably-minded Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join their already-established team of expert engineers, near the unofficial capital of Yorkshire, Leeds.
Essential Criteria:
A Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, or other similar discipline
Extensive experience of working with flood risk and drainage strategies
Demonstrable experience of producing Flood Risk Reports, Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), and working with Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
Outstanding working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S104, S106, etc.)
Knowledge of the relevant software packages, including TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, InfoDrainage, etc.
Experience of working with a team of diverse individuals, providing mentorship and leadership to junior colleagues
Demonstrable experience of developing and managing stakeholder relations with a range of clientsIt would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to have the following:
Experience of managing teams and/or projects
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other relevant 3D design software
Good time management skills
Excellent communication skillsIn your exciting role of Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer, you will be joining a team of highly experienced design engineers, working on a number of varied, high-profile projects across the region. Progressing through your career, you will take on a variety of different responsibilities, including the following:
Leading a skilled team of diverse individuals in working across varied projects, developing flood risk and drainage strategies
Delivering all projects to the highest of standards, adhering to given timeframes and designated budgets
Using the appropriate software packages to undertake technical analysis
Reviewing and approving accurate technical information, including calculations, drawings, and models
Overseeing and managing stakeholder relations
