Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant | £40,000+ | Birmingham Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic Ground Investigation team in Birmingham. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a leadership role, contributing to the development of a talented team while working on a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from residential developments to large-scale infrastructure initiatives. Responsibilities As a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant, your key responsibilities will include: Leading and delivering a variety of ground investigation projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes. Collaborating closely with clients and the Geotechnical team to provide expert guidance and solutions. Reviewing technical reports and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Supervising on-site activities, including risk assessments and health & safety protocols. Mentoring and training junior staff, fostering their professional growth. Supporting the team in achieving chartership and personal development goals. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: A relevant degree in a related field (e.g., Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering). Demonstrable experience in Geo-Environmental consultancy, with a strong technical background. Chartered status with a recognized professional body. A full UK driving license. Proximity to the Birmingham office or willingness to commute. Day-to-Day Your daily activities will involve a mix of office-based and fieldwork tasks, ensuring variety and engagement in your role. You will: Conduct technical reviews of reports and provide expert recommendations. Oversee on-site investigations, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Prepare and implement risk assessments for various projects. Act as a mentor and trainer for junior team members, sharing your expertise. Engage with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
