Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer

South West | Up to £45,000 + Benefits

As the South West business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer to help lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, commercial, residential and brownfield development projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected consultancy where you'll have the autonomy to manage projects, build client relationships and mentor junior engineers, while working on technically challenging and rewarding schemes.

The Role

This is a varied position combining site work with office-based technical delivery. You'll manage projects from initial investigation through to detailed interpretation, risk assessment and reporting, ensuring high-quality technical solutions are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Your Responsibilities

  * Managing geoenvironmental and geotechnical projects from start to finish.

  * Designing and supervising ground investigations.

  * Producing and reviewing technical reports and contaminated land risk assessments.

  * Interpreting ground investigation data and recommending practical engineering solutions.

  * Managing project programmes, budgets and client relationships.

  * Mentoring and supporting graduate and junior engineers.

  * Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams.

About You

You'll have consultancy experience delivering geoenvironmental projects and be confident managing both technical work and client relationships.

You'll also have:

  * A degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

  * Excellent technical reporting and communication skills.

  * Experience managing site investigations and contaminated land assessments.

  * Strong project management and organisational skills.

  * Full UK driving licence.

  * Chartered status, or actively working towards it, is desirable.
