Senior Geotechnical Engineer 
 London | £60,000 - £70,000

We are looking for an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer that has an interest or experience with mining projects.

The Role

As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering complex geotechnical design solutions across a range of mine waste and tailings projects. You'll be involved from concept through to delivery, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients worldwide.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing design bases from client data, drawings, and specifications
Leading project planning, budgeting, and delivery
Undertaking geotechnical analysis and design (earthworks, dams, embankments, foundations, impoundments)
Reviewing technical reports, drawings, and specifications
Managing and directing site investigation programmes
Interpreting geotechnical and laboratory data
Producing clear, high-quality technical reports
Mentoring junior engineers and supporting team development
Acting as a key client contact and building strong relationships
Supporting business development, proposals, and wider company strategy 

Requirements

To be considered, you should have:

A degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related discipline
Ideally a Master's (or higher) in Geotechnical Engineering or Soil Mechanics
8+ years' experience in geotechnical design
Strong experience in mine waste / tailings / mining-related projects (highly desirable)
Proven technical and project management capabilities
Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience
Fluency in English (additional languages are advantageous)
