Senior Haematology Nurse – Central London
Permanent | Full-Time | £45,000 – £55,000 + enhancements + benefits
We are working with a leading private hospital in Central London to recruit an experienced Senior Haematology Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s top centres for blood cancer care and complex haematology treatments, working alongside internationally renowned consultants and a highly skilled clinical team.
The Role
As a Senior Haematology Nurse, you will provide specialist nursing care for patients undergoing treatment for haematological conditions, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, stem cell transplantation, and supportive therapies. You will act as a clinical role model, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to continuous improvements in patient care and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver safe, evidence-based care for haematology inpatients and outpatients.
* Administer systemic anti-cancer treatments (SACT) and manage treatment-related complications.
* Provide emotional and educational support to patients and families.
* Supervise and develop junior staff, promoting best practice within the team.
* Contribute to audits, governance, and service development projects.
Candidate Requirements
* Registered Nurse (NMC) with post-registration haematology/oncology experience.
* Competent in administering chemotherapy/SACT (or willing to undertake training).
* Skilled in central line care, blood product transfusions, and infection management.
* Strong clinical assessment, leadership, and communication skills.
