Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the full lifecycle of complex drainage schemes-from initial concept through to completion-independently.
Conduct investigations, gather, and analyse data to inform design decisions.
Produce feasibility studies, technical designs, and concise reports.
Prepare and develop funding bids on behalf of the client.
Deliver both preliminary and detailed drainage designs in line with DMRB, Local Design Specs, Sewage Sector Guidance, CDM2015, and BIM standards.
Draft and assemble contract documents ready for procurement.
Manage contract administration duties efficiently.
Oversee construction activities to ensure quality and compliance.
Ensure health, safety, and welfare for yourself and your team.
Support the development of colleagues and act as a line manager when required.
Work confidently with Civil 3D/AutoCAD, Causeway Flow, and the Microsoft Office suite.
Job Requirements:
Experience in highway drainage engineering.
Proficiency in Civil 3D/AutoCAD, Causeway Flow, and the Microsoft Office suite.
Understanding of DMRB, Local Design Specs, Sewage Sector Guidance, CDM2015, and BIM standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to produce high-quality technical designs and reports.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Commitment to health, safety, and welfare standards.
Ability to manage and support team development.
