Job Title – Accommodation Officer
Location – Kingsbridge (South Hams)

Role Summary –
We’re currently recruiting for an Accommodation Officer to manage a small portfolio of residential properties used for temporary accommodation. The role involves day-to-day property management, tenancy sign-ups and terminations, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. You’ll also play a key role in supporting tenants, helping them move on from temporary housing into more permanent accommodation, and liaising closely with housing advice teams to provide practical support and guidance.
Salary – £21.83 LTD per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee tenancy management, sign-ups, terminations, and responsive repairs.
Monitor rent accounts, manage low-level arrears, and offer welfare benefit advice.
Carry out property inspections, fire safety, and health and safety checks.
Liaise with contractors to ensure properties meet required standards.
Develop and review support plans to help tenants secure long-term accommodation.
Maintain accurate records, tenancy files, and safeguarding documentation.Requirements:
Proven experience in housing or tenancy management, ideally within social housing or temporary accommodation.
Strong understanding of housing legislation, tenancy management, and ASB processes.
Experience supporting vulnerable clients or those facing homelessness.
Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a designated patch of properties.
