SHEQ Manager
Leeds
Full-time, Permanent
£40,000 per year
We’re working with a well-established furniture manufacturer in Leeds that is looking to hire an experienced and motivated SHEQ Manager. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to step up into a leadership role and make a real impact on safety, quality, and environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage Health & Safety policies and procedures
* Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
* Maintain ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environmental) standards
* Drive continuous improvement across production and operations
* Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and industry standards
* Deliver SHEQ training and promote a safety-first culture
* Act as the main point of contact for external auditors and regulators
* Report on SHEQ performance and KPIs to senior leadership
What We’re Looking For:
* IOSH or NEBOSH certification (required)
* Experience in a SHEQ role within manufacturing (furniture experience is a bonus)
* Strong knowledge of ISO standards and HSE regulations
* Confident communicator with good leadership and organisational skills
* Hands-on experience with audits, inspections, and improvement projects
