Job Title: Senior Hydrographic Surveyor
Location: Remote (with flexibility for offshore, onshore, and home/office-based work)
Salary: £55,000-£65,000 + Health Cover + Pension
Contract Type: Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hydrographic Surveyor to join a dynamic and growing offshore energy team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual to lead technical aspects of hydrographic survey operations, including vessel mobilisation, data acquisition, processing, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead hydrographic survey operations and vessel mobilisation
Ensure proper use and maintenance of survey equipment and sensors
Assist vessel master with safety-related matters
Manage hire kit logistics and equipment demobilisation
Oversee data handling and liaise with processing teams
Support technical queries and collaborate with internal teams
Contribute to project planning, execution, and strategy
Maintain project documentation and liaise with clients
Conduct equipment calibrations and verifications
Perform hydrographic data acquisition and QA
Attend site meetings and manage project risks
Promote QHSE standards and continuous improvement
Skills & Experience:
Must have UK working rights
Proven competence in hydrographic surveying procedures
Skilled in GNSS, MRU, Multibeam Echosounders, Sidescan Sonars
Strong communication skills across all levels
Experience with ASANA project management software
Qualifications:
5+ years' experience in a similar role
Degree in Hydrographic Surveying or a related science-based discipline

180 working days annually
Minimum 120 days offshore
Up to 60 days onshore with an additional £250/day for any offshore over the 120 days
