Job Title: Senior Hydrologist/Flood Modeller Ref. No.: CJD(phone number removed)G Location: Wigan Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 This is an excellent opportunity to join my client, a well-established, trusted Multidisciplinary Consultancy renowned for lending their expertise to an array of high-profile projects across the land development and engineering fields. They are actively searching for a capable, driven Senior Hydrologist/Flood Modeller with extensive knowledge of, and experience with, flood risk, drainage, and/or Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA). You should be willing to take on a diverse array of challenging projects whilst working with an already-established team of design experts in the industrial, riverside town of Wigan. Benefits for the role of Senior Hydrologist/Flood Modeller include (but are not limited to): Competitive salary (depending on the skills and experience you bring to the role) Employee Pension Scheme Generous annual leave allowance Commitment to your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and career progression Access to a range of exciting projects across the region An inclusive, collaborative working environment Responsibilities for the role of Senior Hydrologist/Flood Modeller include: Managing the preparation, amendment, and submission of technical documents, including tenders, Flood Risk Assessments (FRA), Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Drainage Assessment Reports, calculations, and models Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities Liaising with and managing client and stakeholder relations, across the public and private sectors Managing people and projects at all stages of the process, from initial inception through to successful delivery and implementation, adhering to budgetary, resourcing, and time constraints Adhering to industry standards, procedures, and guidelines at all times, including strict health and safety regulations Overseeing colleagues' Continuing Professional Development (CPD) within the companyRequired skills and experience for the role of Senior Hydrologist/Flood Modeller include: A Bachelor's Degree in Hydrology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar Possess Chartership Status with a recognised, relevant professional body/institute Extensive experience of working in a design capacity, within a UK consultancy or local authority setting Outstanding working knowledge of a range of relevant software packages, including Flood Modeller, AutoCAD, WinDES, WINFAP, HEC-RAS, FEH, etc. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Experience of liaising closely with a range of clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectorsDesirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Hydrologist/Flood Modeller include: A Master's Degree (or higher qualification) in a relevant subject Excellent proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (to include Word, Excel, etc.) Hold a full, valid UK driving licence If you are interested in the role of Senior Hydrologist/Flood Modeller, please do not hesitate to contact Caroline Davis at Penguin Recruitment.
