Job Description

Senior Insurance Broker Location: Hybrid (office-based with flexibility) Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience) Working Hours: Full-time The Company Our client is a well-established, independent insurance brokerage with a strong reputation for delivering expert, tailored solutions to a diverse commercial client base. The Role As a Senior Insurance Broker, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality insurance solutions to clients across a wide range of commercial sectors. You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining strong client and insurer relationships, driving new business opportunities, and ensuring the delivery of cost-effective, suitable cover to meet each client’s individual needs. Reporting to the Broking Manager, you’ll also act as a mentor and referral point for colleagues, supporting the ongoing development and success of the broking team. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurers Generate and convert new business leads Conduct client meetings to assess current and future insurance needs Provide professional advice and guidance on insurance solutions Manage all aspects of new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments (MTAs) and claims Negotiate policy terms and conduct market exercises where appropriate Produce business reports for clients and management Maintain accurate records and ensure all tasks are managed effectively in Acturis Mentor and support junior colleagues Keep up to date with developments in the insurance market and attend industry events Experience and Qualifications Proven experience in commercial insurance broking across a range of products Strong communication, negotiation and relationship management skills Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities High attention to detail and accuracy Proficient in MS Office and Acturis Dip CII qualified (or equivalent experience and knowledge) Educated to GCSE level with Maths and English at grade C/4 or above Remuneration and Benefits Salary up to £40,000 (depending on experience) Hybrid working arrangements Professional development and study support Supportive, collaborative working culture within an independent business Why This Role?
