Sellick Partnership are seeking a Senor Internal Auditor for our Public Sector client in Derbyshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Internal Auditor who is looking to work with a forard-thinking council.
Job Purpose:
To manage, develop, and continuously improve the audit team.
To support the development of strong risk, corporate governance, and assurance arrangements for each council within the Consortium
To ensure that all aspects of the Global Internal Audit Standards are met. Key responsibilities - Senior Auditor:
To undertake audits
To act as the key contact of the Internal Audit Consortium
To review the audit work completed by the Auditors
Day-to-day supervision
To attend close-out meetings with auditors
Prepare monthly/quarterly work plans for your team
Undertake and supervise special investigationsThe ideal candidate:
Must be in the office 2 to 3 days a week (Chesterfield, Derbyshire)
Experience auditing a variety of non-financial systems such as safeguarding, health & safety, gas servicing, performance targets, data protection, risk management etc
Able to report to the Audit Committee
