Senior Java Developer with a focus on Agentic Coding

IntaPeople are working exclusively with a fintech scaleup in Cardiff and require a Senior Java Engineer with experience of agentic cofing join a new team.  This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week in the Cardiff office.

About the role:

This role is within a new, leaner team and will be leveraging AI to build new features from scratch.  This role will be utilising Claude.ai for AI model development.
	
We are open to mid-levels (who are close to the senior mark)and established senior Java Developers to join a high performing team. They have agentic workflows set so you will need to hit the road running with agentic coding 
	
A financial service background is preferred. 
	
This company offers a structured roadmap in terms of progression. Having worked with this company for the last 7 years, I have seen more internal progression than in any other employer.

About you:

Commercial experience of agentic coding is essential for this role.  You know how to train AI agents to deliver complex code that works. 
	
You will have worked commercially with Java (versions 8+) building APIs and microservices with Spring Boot for 5 years minimum. 
	
Any cloud experience is a nice to have.  They have an AWS cloud infrastructure but any interaction with AWS, GCP or Azure would be an advantage.
	
You’re a hungry dev who wants to keep developing their skills, learning new things and collaborating with the wider team.
