Overview:
On behalf of our prestigious client, a leader in luxury home automation and smart technology integration, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior or Lead Home Automation Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in Crestron Home, Control4, and Lutron systems, along with advanced networking skills (Ubiquiti, Ruckus).
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership
Lead end-to-end delivery of sophisticated home automation projects.
Act as the main client liaison, ensuring seamless communication and project transparency.
Collaborate with architects, designers, and construction teams on bespoke technology solutions for prime and super-prime properties.System Integration & Programming
Design, configure, and program integrated smart home systems using Crestron Home, Control4, and Lutron.
Deliver complete AV, lighting, shading, HVAC, and security solutions that offer intuitive and seamless user experiences.
Customise automation software to suit individual client requirements.Networking & Infrastructure
Deploy robust and secure home network infrastructures using Ubiquiti and Ruckus technologies.
Manage IP networks, VLANs, and firewalls to ensure system reliability and security.Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Provide post-installation support and maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
Implement proactive measures to prevent future issues.Client Engagement & Training
Deliver clear and professional communication to clients throughout each phase of the project.
Conduct hands-on system training with end-users, ensuring confidence and satisfaction with their smart home setup.Documentation & Reporting
Interpret and maintain project schematics and technical documentation.
Produce regular progress reports, issue logs, and completion summaries.Experience & Expertise:
7-10 years' experience in high-end home automation projects.
Expert in Crestron Home, Control4, and Lutron systems (KNX experience advantageous).
Demonstrated experience leading complex installations and managing project timelines.Technical Proficiency:
Strong understanding of AV, lighting control, HVAC, security systems integration.
Advanced networking knowledge (Ubiquiti, Ruckus, VLAN, IP configuration).
Competence in reading technical drawings and architectural plans.Personal Qualities:
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Methodical, detail-oriented, and client-focused.
Excellent problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach.Additional Requirements:
Full UK driving license.
Flexibility to travel across London, wider UK, and internationally.
Willingness to adapt working hours to project demands
