About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Legal Cashier to join a prestigious, top-tier law firm on a fully remote basis. With a competitive salary of £38,000 per annum, this is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled legal cashier with leadership experience to take on an important role in a growing firm.
As the Senior Legal Cashier, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day financial operations of the firm. This includes maintaining compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR), processing transactions, and leading a team of legal cashiers to ensure smooth and efficient financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial operations, including client and office account management.
Lead, supervise, and organise a small team of legal cashiers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) and other regulatory requirements.
Process financial transactions, including receipts, payments, and bank reconciliations.
Support internal and external audits, and assist with financial reporting as required.
Mentor and train junior staff, developing their skills and knowledge in legal cashiering.
Provide guidance and ensure adherence to firm policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in a Legal Cashier role, with at least 3-5 years in a similar capacity within a law firm.
Strong experience in team leadership or supervision of finance staff.
In-depth knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) and legal accounting processes.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency with legal accounting software (e.g., SOS Connect, Aderant, or similar).
Self-motivated, proactive, and solutions-focused approach to work.
