Job Description
We are working on behalf of a prominent Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) construction contractor in the search for a Senior Logistics Manager to oversee logistics strategy and execution across a major construction project.
This is a pivotal position for an experienced logistics professional with a strong background in M&E construction. The successful candidate will lead the planning and coordination of site logistics, material movement, delivery scheduling, and subcontractor interface across complex, fast-paced building projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement site-specific logistics plans for major M&E construction projects.
* Coordinate deliveries, offloading, storage, and movement of M&E materials and plant.
* Manage on-site logistics teams and external suppliers, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
* Work closely with project management, procurement, and engineering teams to align logistics with build schedules.
* Ensure safe and effective traffic management, lifting plans, waste management, and materials handling.
* Monitor and report on logistics performance, risks, and constraints throughout the project lifecycle.
* Resolve daily logistical challenges to avoid disruption to the construction programme.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Logistics Manager in a construction environment – essential.
* Strong knowledge of M&E systems, site operations, and delivery sequencing.
* Experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
* Confident managing high volumes of materials and complex delivery requirements.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to influence site operations.
* Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
* Competent with construction logistics planning tools and software.
* Relevant construction or logistics qualifications preferred (CSCS / SMSTS advantageous).
