Senior Maintenance Technician - Dublin
Working hours: 39 hours per week
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours
Salary: €60,262 + Shift Allowance and Benefits
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading logistics client for experienced and motivated professionals to join their expanding operations maintenance team based at a brand-new hub in Dublin.
This position plays a key role in ensuring that all plant and equipment on site are properly maintained, serviced, and repaired to recognised standards in line with preventative maintenance schedules. The successful candidate will help ensure the continuous and efficient running of sortation and handling machinery, keeping downtime to an absolute minimum.
Key Responsibilities
* Organise and coordinate maintenance activities and required equipment to ensure machinery is serviced safely and efficiently within operational timeframes.
* Supervise team performance, monitor attendance, and take appropriate remedial action where necessary.
* Oversee workflow, identify potential issues, and implement corrective measures through delegation, personal action, or escalation.
* Liaise effectively with Depot and Operations Managers, Section Leaders, and the Control Room to resolve queries or operational challenges.
* Ensure the smooth flow of traffic through sortation machines with a strong focus on health and safety compliance.
* Complete all documentation and recording sheets accurately and on time.
* Adhere to all operational and maintenance procedures as set out in the operations manual to maintain high levels of customer service.
* Ensure equipment is safely maintained, stored properly after use, and that any faults are reported through the correct channels.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organised, and technically skilled with the following qualifications and experience:
* City & Guilds qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
* Knowledge of 17th/18th Edition electrical regulations
* Proven background in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance
* Ability to interpret electrical schematic drawings
* Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment
* Understanding of health and safety legislation
* Flexible approach to shift patterns
* Full valid driving licence
