Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Supervisor

Location: Gateshead
Salary: c.£41,000

An established manufacturing business is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Supervisor to lead its shopfloor operations. This Senior Manufacturing Supervisor position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader to drive efficiency, productivity, and profitability across multiple production areas.

Role Overview
The successful Senior Manufacturing Supervisor will take ownership of the manufacturing team, ensuring delivery of the production plan while maintaining high standards. This Senior Manufacturing Supervisor will oversee a structured team across CNC Cutting, Metalwork, Digital Print & Vinyl Application, Paint (subcontract), and Assembly.

Key Responsibilities

  * Lead and manage Supervisors and Team Leaders across all manufacturing areas

  * Directly manage the Assembly function via 2 Team Leaders

  * Deliver production targets with a focus on efficiency and cost control

  * Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes

  * Monitor performance, quality, and output across a team of circa 40

  * Ensure a safe, compliant, and high-performing shopfloor environment

Requirements

  * Proven experience in a Senior Manufacturing Supervisor, Production Manager, or similar leadership role

  * Strong people management and leadership skills

  * Experience within a manufacturing environment

  * Ability to drive performance and operational improvements

  * Metalwork experience would be beneficial, though not essential

  * Strong organisational and communication skills
