Location: West of Greater Manchester
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (depending on the experience)
The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer, you'll lead mechanical design across a variety of projects, working closely with internal and external teams to deliver technically robust, energy-efficient, and client-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead mechanical building services design projects from concept through to delivery.
* Collaborate with Electrical, Public Health, Sustainability, and BIM/Revit colleagues to create fully integrated designs.
* Produce detailed mechanical specifications, drawings, calculations, and reports using industry-standard software (e.g. Hevacomp, IES, Revit).
* Liaise confidently with clients, architects, contractors, and design partners to ensure project goals are achieved.
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the collective expertise of the team.
* Attend and contribute to internal and external project review and coordination meetings.
* Stay up to date with current standards, sustainable design strategies, and industry best practices.
* Maintain a proactive, positive presence in the team and contribute to a collaborative, supportive culture.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (or equivalent experience).
* A minimum of 5 years building services experience within UK-based M&E consultancy or contractor environments.
* Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, regulations, and building services standards.
* Experience with Revit/BIM, IES/Hevacomp, and other relevant design tools.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and lead projects independently.
* Passion for mentoring and sharing knowledge with junior staff.
* UK work eligibility, full driving licence, and access to a vehicle.
