Job Description
ROLE – Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
SALARY - £40,000- £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
TYPE – Permanent
LOCATION – Warrington
My client is a specialist manufacturer of products and Engineering solutions. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in the Warrington area on a permanent basis.
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Design / Engineering Design or similar
5 or more years’ industry experience ideally working in a similar industrial design / development role within a manufacturing environment
Proficient with using SolidWorks or similar CAD software for design
Confident knowledge of a variety of mechanical processes
Experience working with rubber, polymer, hydraulics, and machinery
Experienced designing products from concept to production
Innovative and passionate about design
Be technically minded with a head for problem solving
Able to work well individually as well as part of a team
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
Design and development of various custom products
Ensuring 3D design solutions and engineering drawings are completed for all New Product Development projects
Getting hands on with machinery and other areas of the business
Using CAD for design on a day-to-day basis
Developing ideas from concept to production
Creating models/prototypes
Collaborating with different departments to ensure the smooth delivery of projects
Maintaining technical drawings and documentation
Providing technical guidance and support
Supporting product Testing, Verification & Validation
Supporting Junior team members and providing guidance
