Senior Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer - Midlands Region (Hybrid Working)

We're working with a leading consultancy that's expanding its Project & Programme Services team and looking to bring on board a Senior Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer. You'll be a key player in the M&E and NetZero team, supporting the growth of building services engineering offerings. Working closely with the Managing M&E Engineer, you'll also mentor junior engineers and contribute to the delivery of high-quality design and surveying services.
Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical building services design from concept to detailed specification (heating, cooling, ventilation, public health).
Produce detailed calculations using tools like Hevacomp and IES.
Prepare technical specifications, reports, and client presentations.
Conduct condition surveys, inspections, and oversee commissioning.
Manage project delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
Support junior team members in technical development.About You
Proven experience in building services consultancy, particularly in retrofit and refurbishment projects.
Strong understanding of renewable technologies and decarbonisation strategies.
Degree-qualified in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
Working towards Chartered status (CIBSE, IMechE, or similar).
Proficient in IES, Hevacomp, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office; Revit experience is a plus.
Knowledgeable in UK technical standards, energy reduction methods, and performance verification.What's on Offer
