The Opportunity
Join a leading engineering consultancy as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, working on high-profile nuclear projects that span decommissioning, defence, and new build. You’ll play a key role in designing, analysing, and delivering solutions that make nuclear safer, faster, and more cost-effective.
We would also welcome applications from professionals in defence, oil & gas, power generation, process engineering, or renewable energy sectors.
This role would suit candidates currently working as Mechanical Design Engineer, Project Engineer, Mechanical Systems Engineer, Plant Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, Mechanical Consultant, Nuclear Engineer, Mechanical Project Manager, Engineering Lead, or Technical Specialist.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
Drive collaboration across engineering teams and related functions to ensure seamless project delivery.
Act as a key technical contact for clients and suppliers, supporting design queries and procurement specifications.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and procedures throughout all engineering activities.
Conduct technical investigations and provide data-driven solutions for design improvements and problem resolution.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across design and operational processes to enhance quality and efficiency.You will have the following qualifications and experience
A minimum of HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
Strong background in mechanical design and analysis within complex engineering environments.
Proven ability to interpret and apply industry standards and safety requirements.
Experience engaging with stakeholders and managing technical interfaces effectively.
Knowledge of nuclear, defence, or highly regulated sectors would be advantageous.Get in touch now
