Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor / Building Services QS – Leeds
Location: Leeds
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 + car allowance + benefits
The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor (also known as Senior Building Services QS / M&E QS) to join a self-delivery team in Leeds. This is a chance to take full commercial responsibility for mechanical, electrical and plumbing projects with a main contractor that delivers M&E works in-house.
If you’re a Senior QS with strong M&E / building services experience, this role offers career progression on high-profile schemes across the region.
What You’ll Be Doing
*
Leading the commercial management of mechanical, electrical and plumbing packages
*
Preparing tender enquiries, evaluating returns and awarding sub-contracts
*
Overseeing cost plans, forecasts, budgets and cash flow reports
*
Managing contract administration, variations, change control and value engineering
*
Working closely with project managers, design consultants and supply chain partners to ensure projects deliver on time and budget
*
Supporting final account negotiations and close-out
What We’re Looking For
*
Proven background as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within MEP, M&E or building services
*
Strong knowledge of procurement, contract management and subcontract negotiation
*
Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Building Services or similar (HND/Degree)
*
Skilled in financial reporting and risk management
*
Excellent communicator with the ability to build lasting relationships with colleagues and clients
*
Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent) or working towards it is desirable
