Senior Minerals and Waste Policy Officer
Oxford
Salary: £44,246 - £50,076 per annum
12 month fixed contract - 26 hours a week
This role will be responsible for undertaking the Sustainability Appraisal and Strategic Environmental Assessment or the Government proposed Environmental Outcomes Report.
The role will also contribute to policy formulation, advocating for sustainable and climate action practices.
As Sustainability Officer, the post holder will be accountable for the following activities:
Keeping up to date with latest legislation and requirement on sustainability, strategic environmental issues and climate action. Also track the emerging proposals for Environmental Outcomes Report
Documenting the requirements of the legislation and how it is and will be applied to the local plan process.
Supporting the delivery of the Minerals and Waste Local Plan through the preparation of the required Sustainability Appraisal/Strategic Environmental Assessment, including baseline supporting evidence, and if necessary, explore how this evidence can support the future requirements of any Environmental Outcome Reports
