Senior Operations Manager
Worcestershire | SME Manufacturing | High Autonomy
A well-established SME manufacturing business in Worcestershire is looking to appoint a hands-on Senior Operations Manager to lead day-to-day site operations and play a key role in the future growth of the business.
This is a broad operational leadership role with full autonomy across production, warehouse, logistics, facilities, projects, and people management. You will work closely with senior leadership while acting as the key operational decision maker on site.
The Role
Responsibilities will include:
  * Leading production, warehouse and logistics operations
  * Delivering CAPEX and continuous improvement projects
  * Driving lean manufacturing initiatives and operational efficiency
  * Supporting HR, team performance, and employee engagement
  * Managing facilities, contractors, and site compliance
  * Developing a positive, accountable culture across the business
The Person
We are looking for an experienced operational leader who thrives in an SME environment and enjoys variety, responsibility, and visibility across the business.
You will ideally have:
  * Strong manufacturing operations leadership experience
  * A hands-on, pragmatic management style
  * Good emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
  * Experience within SME manufacturing environments
  * Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
  * Experience managing multiple operational functions simultaneously
  * Confidence leading change, projects, and people
Experience within process, engineering, industrial, or mixed manufacturing environments would be advantageous.
