Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm)
Our client, a leader in the bus and coach industry, known for engineering precision and innovation, is expanding its team. They are seeking a Senior Parts Advisor with HGV or PSV Parts experience to join their dynamic team. You will play a vital role in managing parts operations, ensuring the efficient supply and availability of parts for our clients commercial vehicle fleet, including PSVs and HGVs.
This role demands excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and extensive experience in parts management within the commercial vehicle sector. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining inventory, processing parts orders, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels of parts, ensuring high-demand items are readily available while avoiding overstock.
* Order Processing: Accurately process parts orders from internal and external customers, ensuring timely and correct delivery.
* Supplier Coordination: Manage relationships with suppliers to secure optimal pricing and delivery terms, ensuring a reliable parts supply chain.
* Customer Service: Provide expert advice on parts selection and usage, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
* Documentation and Compliance: Maintain detailed records of parts transactions and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
* Sales Support: Assist the sales team by providing parts information and support to enhance overall sales efforts.
* Training and Development: Mentor junior parts personnel, fostering a knowledgeable and efficient team.
* Ensuring workshops and field service support are effectively resourced with the correct parts to meet the needs of internal vehicle processing and aftersales/warranty support.
* Ensuring customer complaints are effectively addressed and ensuring communication with customers is dealt with correctly.
* Researching alternate parts opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A minimum of 3 to 5 years in a HGV or PSV parts role within the commercial industry, with a strong focus on parts delivery and management.
* Strong knowledge of the HGV and PSV component supply chain.
* Strong acumen in IT systems including dealer management systems and office 365 software suite.
