Job Description

Senior Pay & Conditions Officer Location: Civic Centre, ST4 1RN Start Date: ASAP Contract Duration: 6+ Months Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week Pay Rate: £ 281.12 per day Job Ref: (phone number removed) Responsibilities Interrogate and resolve queries related to pay, including high-level tax and National Insurance issues. Operate effectively in a high-pressure environment, demonstrating flexibility to meet business needs. Manage court order processes through payroll systems. Oversee the administration of Local Government and Teachers Pension schemes, including I-Connect, MCR, and EOYC. Ensure compliance with Local Government legislation, including HMRC regulations. Administer salary sacrifice schemes and apply them to worker pay. Manage statutory and occupational leave entitlements, such as maternity, shared parental, paternity, and maternity support leave. Person Specification Proven experience in SAP ERP HR & Payroll environments, including Worker Central and Worker Central Payroll. Strong knowledge of local government terms and conditions is preferable. Ability to verify all licenses, qualifications, or registrations required for the role. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex payroll queries. Strong understanding of compliance standards, including GDPR consent and worker terms and conditions. Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders and resolve issues efficiently.
