Senior Backend Developer
Location: Hybrid (Leeds office 2 days/week) + Remote
Salary: Up to circa £52,000 (Mid-level circa £45,000)
About the Role:
Join a values-driven digital agency where your work really makes a difference. You'll be developing high-traffic, performance-critical backend systems for organisations with impact-from cultural institutions to public-sector bodies. You'll work alongside front-end developers, designers and project leads to build secure, scalable, and fast-performing platforms, primarily in PHP and using Drupal.
What We're Looking For:
Strong PHP skills with a framework-based approach
Experience optimising performance for large-scale sites
Solid understanding of web security best practices and resource/performance tuning
Experience with Git and collaborative development
Excellent communication, estimation and team mentoring experience
Bonus: Drupal experience, Cloudflare, Python/Django or Vue.js
